THE MEMORY

“Today I remembered my mother and her sweater. I remember eating this little lemon tart on my first ever flight. They took me to a theme park when I was 5 and I spotted it.

There are lilacs knocking on the windows now, just like then. The rooms then seemed so big and life so colourful. The sheets smelled so calming. It was spring and the garden near our hotel room was in full bloom.

I remember playing with my toys, being inside?. It was endless, unlike the wrinkles.

I remember the screams and their hugs. Twenty years go by but I don’t think…”
